I agree! I think it is really important for teachers to stay up-to-date. They must be able to adapt to the changes. This is important for their students as well as their jobs.

I agree. You can rarely find a job these days that doesn't have some aspect of technology usage in it. Students are better off learning about technology in the classroom. The more they are exposed to it the better. I agree with what you said about teaching will change more as technology changes.

A lot of jobs require their employees keep up to date with technology. A lot of these jobs pay for their employees to acquire the knowledge they need to keep up to date. I just hope schools can continue to do this for their employees.

In some ways, this class has made me have more questions on what technology to use and how to use it. But in a way, that is just part of being a teacher, to constantly self reflect and question how things can be done better.

I think it would be difficult for me to work in a school district that did not have a lot of technology available. I am very into technology, and I would definitely incorporate a lot in my classroom. I would be constantly finding new ways to help my students and adapt to their strengths and likes. If there was not very much technology available for them, I would be frustrated at the disadvantage.

In my opinion schools will soon become new hubs for innovation. When that happens your students will be at the front of the new innovation wave.

Technology has a positive impact on education. It allows students to benefit themselves for the future as well as it provides more ways for students to complete assignments. I would incorporate technology as much as possible in my classroom. I think this would benefit both me and my students, and I think that is very important in itself.

I agree Brittanee, technology can become a useful tool in the classroom. Everything from power points, to the smart board can be incorporated to encourage learning and growth within the classroom. Technology will also play a major role in my classroom, benefiting students when it can.

I believe technology is a great tool in the classroom. With technology a variety of teaching philosophies can be used, and a larger mass of students reached. Technology gives teachers the opportunity to make their classrooms more innovative and fun. With technology, classroom boundaries can be stretched and classroom can become more interactive. I will use technology on a regular basis in my classroom. Everything from using Weebly to interactive labs and Prezi will be present on my room. I want students to see the positive impacts technology can have on learning.

I agree with the different philosophies idea. Technology can really help reach different learners too. Not all your students will react and learn the same way, technology can really help this. The class website is a good idea. I think that really helps the families or parents see whats going on in your classroom and is a good way to keep things organized.

I agree that technology can really enhance a classroom and have many positive effects. I especially liked Weebly too, it would be great in a junior high or high school classroom.

Technology does stretch classroom boundaries. Technology provides an amplitude of different ways one can go about introducing new information or even simply researching information. I too agree that Weebly was a great tool to use and learn from, and I plan on incorporating it somehow in my classroom.

I agree that Weebly and Prezi are great tools for the classroom, and Diigo is something that the students will use more during their personal time with technology.

I believe that technology is definitely needed in the classroom. With good technology resources you are able to change up your teaching styles all the time. You have nearly an endless amount of resources when using the internet and computers. When you include technology in your classroom, you also teach the students about it which will help them in the long run. Technology is always changing and if students are use to it they will be able to adapt more easily. I think teachers should use technology in their lessons as much as possible.

I agree with you about how technology allows you to change up your teaching style. I think that is an excellent point, it allows teachers to think outside the box with the new technology. This will also allow students to create new learning styles that may help them better understand certain subjects that they were once having troubles learning before, but with the help of technology they can learn better.

I'm a huge believer about having technology in the classrooms for better learning. Having new technology can improve learning and teaching for students and educators. If I were to have my own classroom, I would try to have the latest technology in my class and be using it in as many lessons as possible.

Technology is an everyday part of our society and is ever changing and evolving allowing us more options. As we have discussed many times over this semester, technology needs to be used in a balanced, responsible manner so that it can be a useful resource and not a hinderance or hurtful means of educating or learning. It is imperative that educators and parents keep up to date in regard to technology so that they can be good communicators with their children and students. Education needs to include curriculum in regard to technology so that students are able to compete in the real world and be successful in their adult lives. Educators need to seek professional development when offered, so that skills and knowledge in regard to technology can be developed and encouraged. I have really enjoyed this class and learning about many new areas of technology and how they can be adapted into classrooms and curriculum.

I too, agree that seeking professional development to keep up to date with the continuous growth of technology is very important and should be encouraged. I have been in classes where the educator was not fond of technology, and my opinion of the course was effected by it.

I learned alot during this course, some of which I will take back to my own classroom. I purchased an Ipad and have been using it regularly with my preschool students. I definately think technology can enhance a classroom and impact student's learning positively. I do think that we need to remember that not all students have acess to technology at home so they may need to be brought up to speed. We also need to remember to keep teaching the basics to our students without relying on technology to teach them.

Another thing I took from this class that I want to learn more about are MOOCs. I like the idea of taking classes just for fun. Need to find out more about these and possible enroll in some in the future.

Technology is a tool that, if used appropriately, helps us work faster, smarter, easier. It enhances our curriculum delivery and offers opportunity to expand our students' understanding of the material. In my opinion, it's definitely a win-win to include technology in education and the classroom. I incorporate technology into nearly every lesson and will continue to do so.

I have learned that technology, in today's society, is crucial to have in the classroom. Technology is a great resource that students can utilize to guide them in the classroom. The effects that technology has on education is most often in a positive way. As long as students are utilizing technology in the classroom safely and effectively then I don't see any room for negative effects. In my classroom, will incorporate technology when needed, and encourage students to use technology as a resource for valuable information that will aid them with assignments.

Technology is developing both on the software and the hardware side, I believe its significance in the classroom will only increase over the next decade. I do not believe it will ever replace teachers, only provide an in between step for students who are having trouble. I hope to incorporate cheap and open source technology in my classroom, possibly something that the students build themselves.
