The greatest benefit in my opnion is to have the ability to teach kids from around the world, without actually having to stand in front of them, and to have kids be exposed to pretty much everything through computers and television instead of seeing a picture in a textbook.

I think the greatest benefit of technology is the ability to engage students at a young age. Especially like the article says, math and science can be boring but with games and the interactive sites that the internet has it take learning to a new level and kids don't get bored.

We are a society that is becoming more associated with technology every day and this will help give them a base knowledge and hopefully prepare them for future jobs that they may attain.

I think that we are a technological generation and that we are dependant on it so to me that is the worst aspect of technology. However i think that having technology in the classroom is rather benefcial. It allows students to learn in different ways rather then just lecture.

I think technology has clearly taken over our world. It is important that we educate our students on the positives of technology and how it can be used in accordance with education. technology can help provide many methods of educating our students.

The greatest benefit is that these younger children have an early exposure to all this technology, which will benefit them in the future work world. There will possibly be less need for education on computer programs and other technology. Technology is ever changing, but I feel that this generation is going to have a firm grasp on any of the changes that will come their way in the technology world.

I can't say I agreed with all of these, but I do however agree that learning to use technology now is preparing our students for the future. As we all know, technology is becoming a larger part of our daily lives. But just like the article states "Education is no longer just about learning and memorizing facts and figures; it’s about collaborating with others." So yes, I think the preparation for the future in a world of technology is the most important. As far as the others, teachers have managed to accomplish these things for far more years than we have used technology. But now that technology is here, and not going away, we need to prepare and understand for it now.

I think the greatest benefit is teaching students how to use technology in the real world. Technology is everywhere and I believe it is our job as instructors to give basic technology skills to our students.

I think the greatest benefit of technology in the classroom is being able to do things through simulations that otherwise would be impossible. We as teachers are wanting to prepare our students for real life experiences. With technology, we can duplicate real life situations through simulations that can be found on the internet or that can be bought for the computer. Students enjoy watching something that is realistic and that can be controlled by themselves, and that is exactly what simulations can do.

I think that being able to work with people around the world, and let your students learn from others aound the world, without having to travel anywhere is extremely beneficial. On the negative side of things, students will make technology there only means of doing work, and forget about paper and pencil.

I believe the greatest aspect of having children learn through using technology would be the ability to expose them to concepts and ideas they will be using after school in their role as a citizen. Most jobs in America have some sort of technological component and you can not even vote anymore without having to use some form of technology. Students who can navigate the technology will be able to be more informed and functional citizens.

I think the best part of having students use technology in the classroom is to take it on and use it further on in their life. I know technology changes very fast but if a student can use what you teach them to try and help someone else that is the most important thing. Like in this class, we have many students that are using technology to go on and teach others. That is the best part. You are then multiplying the numbers you are teaching exponentially.

I would say being able to have unlimited information at your fingertips. knowing everything will be current and up to date is a plus with modern technology.

Being able to get information at anytime is a great tool for any kids at any generation.
