I believe using technology in the classroom would be very beneficial for the students intellectual development and preparedness for after educational based environments. When using technology in classroom it allows for the teacher to be more efficient to express concepts in a lesson allowing students to grasp the content quicker. Thus, more information and knowledge can be learned. Also, using technology in classrooms will help students learn how to use different programs that could be used in the workplace helping their overall effectiveness and value in potential jobs. Lastly, students tend to enjoy using technology in class because it keeps their mind active and engaged.

Not only do I think that technology in the classroom is more efficient and beneficial for the teacher but I also think it helps the students even more. We are so involved with technology in our world today that I think putting technology in the classroom will benefit our students for their lives and careers outside of the classroom, in the "real world". It will help them prepare for their careers as some sort of technology is bound to be involved. This also makes learning more modern and fun! Students can interact in different ways, can perform/turn in assignments in a better way than just handwritten paper or email, and students can also see immediate results to their work when technology is involved. I just don't see many negatives to putting technology into the classroom!

By incorporating technology into daily classroom activities, teachers are preparing students for the future. If teachers only used pencil and paper to teach students, then students would be “handicapped” as far as technology is concerned. Not only does using computers, iPads, SMARTboards, and other devices help prepare students for a technology-centered future, but it also adds enjoyment to their day. Whenever I use the SMARTboard to teach lessons, my students are always more engaged than if I just read information to them from a book. Students can interact with the SMARTboard by playing various games (math, social studies, science, etc.). I can also show them video clips to help them create a visual representation of the content we are discussing. Technology has endless benefits for students, from increasing motivation, to helping inspire them to want to become life-long learners. The more teachers can expose students to different kinds of technology, the more prepared their students will be once they enter the “real-world”.

In additon to preparing them for the real world, I think that by having technology in the classroom, teachers are able to reach a more diverse learning styles and abilities. It also allows students to colloborate more and interact with each other in different ways. Technolgy in the classroom helps students stay in touch with what's going on in the real world. When they are connected to the real world they are motivated to learn.

Technology! It’s the name for the future. It seems the way to go, not only for the simplicity of making the teachers life easier. But kids seem way more engaged to do more when it comes to technology. We become way more efficient and effective in the class room. Kids are already starting to use the stuff at an early age, so they become very good at it in general. Google Chrome, IPads and such allow for better class time too. So the more technology I could get my hands on the better. Some things are meant to be done on a dry erase board. But most of the times now, it is just better to use the technology. Making grading better, or even have multiple choice on technology so you don’t have to grade it by hand. I would use as much as I could, that is for sure. Plus the way the future is going, looks like we will be.

Technology is a great thing. It is almost mandatory in the age we live in. Almost everyone has a phone or tablet they use on a regular basis. It is only common sense to use it. It might as well be used for education rather than just social media. There are so many applications out there that can make education so much easier. I know with the Google Applications, you could make a test and post it to every student with in seconds. Then grading that test would be a breeze and the feedback is almost instantaneous. I know it has helped me be organized and able to communicate better. I think it will only increase our ability to educate that much better.

The reason why to use technology in the classroom nowadays is because the world is being managed by technology, everything now is either fully technology operated or at least part of it, if the students get the basics in school it would be an easier transition from school to the "real world."

For teaching online, using technology is crucial. If I had to use Blackboard alone, I would be left to create all of my curriculum content. I do create several math problems to be completed within a discussion post each week, but the use of software such MyMath Lab is extremely helpful. With MyMath lab, instructors are able to easily create online assignment, quizzes, and test,

Technology is changing so fast that we need to help develop these skills at an early age so that our young students can start to get used to using it. The technology in the classroom will benefit the students but also the teacher. It helps the teacher be more organized and it also holds the students responsible because all of their assignments can be time stamped so the teacher knows exactly when it was turned in. Using this type of technology helps the students become familiar with programs that can be used once they are out of school.

There are many benefits of using technology in the classroom, especially as students become increasingly digitally literate. The shift in worldwide computer usage and the need for computer skills in today's workforce have pushed the United States government to create guidelines, such as the Core Curriculum Content Standards, for educators to ensure that students are prepared to meet the demands of the 21st century.

I think that as we have begun to move into a very technology driven society, it is up to us as educators to prepare our students to successfully enter this society. Along with having students themselves utilizing technology in the classroom, it is also important for teachers to utilize technology to engage their learners. If students are successfully engaged, then they will absorb more of the information being presented. They will also be seeing successful and responsible ways to use technology in their own lives.

I would use fit-bits in my classroom. They would allow students to track their movement in the class period. I could also set levels that they need to attain to reach their participation grade. This would allow them to see that they really aren't doing anything instead of me telling them they need to get involved. I would also use ipads and the Kahoot.it website to test over fitness related knowledge and health units.

The use of technology in the classroom has many beneficial facets and it is because of these diverse facets I would use it as an educational tool. For example not only does it offer the ability for an instructor to have an extra educational hand it also offers instructional flexibility, enhanced content navigation, increased student engagement, the ability to repackage course content to promote better understanding and it makes the classroom portable to only name a few of the benefits it offers. .
