Here is an article that I found about classrooms without technology. Students that graduate from such institutions have success in college, and in life. Can you please tell why you agree or disagree with this article? http://www.2machines.com/articles/136174.html
There are many schools around the nation that are trying to make the switch from hard copy text books to e-books or tablets. As you will read in this article there are many people that think the idea is too good to be true. I myself, do not know if i like the idea or if it will be more cost effective in the long run. Electronics are often unreliable and can cause complications that a regular textbook will not. Do you think it is a smart idea for schools to make the switch to tablets? Do you think learning will be as successful with these, or maybe even more so? We have learned a lot about technology whether its using technology or things like Digital Footprints. These things are all useful in the fields that we will be continuing our career in. From what we have learned in the class what are the technologies that you would find most useful and what would you find not so useful in your career.
Recently I have heard about incidents involving sexting at schools. Upon the situation coming to light the schools have expelled all students involved. This has a potential to affect a great deal of students as if a picture is forwarded the person who sent it becomes a distributor of child pornography. The laws do not specify between minor and adult. There is a possible children who are caught sexting could face official charges. This will place some very lasting consequences on these children. What do you feel would be the appropriate way to handle situations like this? More importantly what ways could you think of to help stop this problem before it starts.
Classroom walk throughs are becoming more popular in schools these days. The idea behind walk-throughs is that firsthand classroom observations can paint a picture to inform improvement efforts. These observations typically involve looking at how well teachers are implementing a particular program or set of practices that the district or school has adopted. For example, a school principal might want to know whether teachers are able to put into practice their recent training. Read this article and give your opinion on Classroom Walk throughs.
http://www.peterpappas.com/2009/10/teacher-led-professional-development-eleven-reasons-why-using-classroom-walk-throughs.html It is common to have smart boards in the classroom in 2014. I think this type of technology enhances the classroom. At all Grade levels smart boards are being used. We even have smart boards at our University. Read this article and tell me if you feel smart boards help enhance the classroom. Because it is purchased by the school district every student is allowed to reap the benefits of this technology. If you feel this piece of technology is helpful and can change the educational experiencewhy are so many teachers not using it inside the classroom?
http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=4278772 Read the article below about how slang affect students in the classroom. Do you believe that the use of texting and social media has negatively affected how student's use grammar, punctuation and spelling? If so, is there a way to prevent or help this situation?

This was an article I found that listed several ways that technology has enhanced education in classrooms. I am curious to here more ways this has been done. Please explain a way that technology has benefited you in school. If you can't think of one then think of way it has benefited your job, hobby, or anything else it had a positive effect on. Would you feel comfortable teaching a class if we could use everything we talked about at our disposal? Is there anything else you could do to prepare yourself to teach this class if you had to present your future class to the school board for a chance to get a job?
