I think that this class is great for brainstorming ideas about how to better ourselves as educators. I like all the different ideas about how to go about life as a teacher. More schools need a class like this where it forces you to integrate technology and apps into not only your learning but your assignments day in and day out. A+ class!

Ryan, I agree! I thought this class was great to learn about all of the different ways we can now incorporate technology into not only future teams/classrooms but also into our personal lives. Without this class, I would have missed out on a lot of different ways to "spice up" a lesson that I am wanting to teach my future players/students.

I really thought that making the Class Website was the most beneficial to me. I have never had to do such an assignment so it was neat to broaden my horizons and learn how to make a website that could really help me in the future! It was neat to be able to break down a classroom and lesson plans that I would teach to a real class to try and help benefit my students. It was a great semester with lots of beneficial information!

I agree Devin, it was fun breaking down the lesson plans and the different aspects relating to the classroom. I agree it was a great semester filled with lots of beneficial and applicable information for educating. Also I agree the website was super beneficial for me because it made me stretch as a person to better develop my understanding of webpage design and technology.

The creating of the website was the most beneficial for me. It made me learn how to use the district website and allowed me to create a site for my class. I would have never learned about all of the different pages that I could have created, like the reference page where I just listed links that may be helpful to my students. It forced me to play around with the website and learn how to add links from files and websites, create a calendar for my class. Now I feel confident about using the program.

What I really liked was the different discussions about apps and different methods of teaching with technology. I am always looking for new ways to better develop and enhance my athletes development. Also I really liked making a webpage and learning how to do that. I have already started some webpages for throwing and for my athletes. Also this class is very important for education because with technology growing more and more influential as time passes, there is a strong need to help the understanding and interaction with technology.

It's pretty cool to hear that you are already taking the concepts you have learned from this class, and started to implement them into something useful. You have taken parts from this class to really help and benefit you in the long run, not only in the coaching field but with technology.

What benefited me the most was learning different ways that things can be taught, and how to get the best out of the tools that we have nowadays, for example when we talked about the Google classroom that can be a very useful tool that can help instructions go very well and make it easy to have control of. Also the different blog post reading everyone's opinion and seeing all the different points of view was very interesting.

I have learned a lot from this class. I was never really looking into the different angles of what Apps can do for you on a learning perspective. I have now realized there is apps for all kinds of things that can help out tremendously. I was pretty nervous about this whole web page idea, but I realized it was supper easy to do and now I can take that information and use it as well. This class was an eye opener, that’s for sure.

Hi Taylor, this is Kim. I have to agree with you on the usefulness of the apps we learned. I have found quite a few more apps that I am using in my classroom. It is cool to see all of the technology available on the internet for "FREE". I also agree with the idea about the webpage we created and added to during the course of this class. I am a 3rd grade teacher, and I currently have a classroom webpage set up. I was able to add the things we did during this class to that webpage, and my students have gained a lot from it. I was able to add wonderful websites with math games, reading activities, etc., and my students talk about how they really enjoy using those resources at home on their computer. This class is by far one of the most beneficial ones I have ever taken.

I thought the most beneficial project I did this semester was the webquest I created for my 3rd grade students. I created a webquest that allowed them to shop at Toys R Us using $50. When I told my students about the webquest being uploaded on our class webpage, they almost had a heart attack. I instantly had them wanting to try out the webquest, so I showed them where it was, what the tasks were, etc. I’m not sure how many of my students have completed the webquest, but a lot of them sounded like they gave it a try. That is but one of the many assignments I have enjoyed working on in this class. I love the fact that I can use the things in this class in my everyday life as a teacher. It isn’t just a class where you memorize facts and regurgitate it on a test, but is a class that is both meaningful and useful in the “real world”.

I agree Kim with you Kim. I think the Web Quest was most beneficial for me as well. I believe the most advantageous item I like about Web Quests is the the fact I can make them collaborative between students when it is a group assignment.

I think the most beneficial assignment is the Google Classroom. I am planning on using it in my classroom if I have the chance. It is great how easy it is to use. I am a real fan of the Google Applications and taking all that and putting it together is very smart. I think it would be helpful for the students to learn how to use it so they can us it in their professional world if they are able to. The Google Apps have so many different uses, I don't see it becoming obsolete.

The most beneficial project for me was definitely creating the website. That was a very hands on project and lets everyone show their creativity. That is something that I would use if I was teaching a course.

I really enjoyed working on the class website. I think that creating a resource for future use is great. I also really liked developing lesson plans for technology use. It was nice to think about what I would do in my classroom if money were no object. This class has been a great way to collaborate with my colleagues and get new and exciting ideas for using technology and this is one of my favorite focal points for my studies in education.

I think what has benefited me most from this course is becoming familiar with Googledoc;. With Googledoc's I was able to create documents containing links that I could easily link to my web page. This class has also helped me become aware of the many free technology resources available on the internet. For my online class, I have always used what was available within Blackboard. By being exposed to some of the free services, I may want to use some of them in my course or for tutoring purposes.

Looking back over the material I would have to say that the Web Quest was the most beneficial tool learned because I have been just asked to develop instructional material for several students. The Web Quest allows the most flexibility in teaching the students and affords interaction with them as well fairly easily.
